Auto Mechanics Program - Auto I
This course is designed for students who are interested in Automotive Technology. It is composed of the theory and operation of all mechanical, electrical, high performance and computer fuel injection systems of domestic vehicles. This course will provide the student with experiences that include occupational shop task skills, electrical component tear down and assembly, engine overhaul, brakes, general repair and preventative maintenance. Students will learn the proper procedures of troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair, and also gain knowledge of how to use resources, tools, and test equipment found in modern automotive repair facilities. Emphasis is placed on hands-on participation.
