![]() The students in our Early Childhood Education classes are very busy going into 4th term. Their “hands-on” experience is working in a permanent Pre-K or Elementary classroom with other professionals in the education field. This experience is considered like a job placement. There is no monetary payment given but the experience gained and the relationships that are developed are considered “payment” for this job privilege. The students just finished completing an “ART” lesson with their classroom. The GHS students would say that it was a lot of work preparing for the lesson but the children really enjoyed this “CREATIVE” extension of their unit of study.
The Health Occupations students will begin their clinical experience at Seminary Manor. Students are required by Illinois Department of Public Health to complete 40 hours of clinical time and to test out on 21 skills which include bathing, dressing, and feeding to successfully complete the course.
