Dual credit classes will finish up the fall semester with finals the week of December 10. Classes for the spring semester will resume on Monday, January 14. Students can check their CSC accounts for updates on your grades and financial aid information. Anyone with questions should stop in the GAVC office for additional details.
CNA students continue working towards completing 40 hours of clinical time and preparing for the IDPH state exam.
The Galesburg CUSD #205 and Galesburg Area Vocational Center will be implementing a one hour and two hour delayed start schedules again this year on an as-needed basis. These schedules were created in part to allow our district to start school late on days where road conditions may not be ideal at our regular start time, but are likely to improve later in the morning. Please contact the vocational center at 309-973-2005 if you have any questions regarding a delayed start.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held Thursday, November 15, from 3:15-7:15, please stop in the GAVC office if you have any questions or concerns regarding your students vocational classes.
Health Occupation students have started their clinical experience at Seminary Manor with Mrs. Larsen. Students are required by Illinois Department of Public Health to complete 40 hours of clinical time and to test out on 21 skills which include bathing, dressing, and feeding to successfully complete the course.
