Health Occupation CNA students have been learning the twenty one skills needed when they begin their clinical rotation at Seminary Manor. Students have been certified in CPR and will be fingerprinted this week. Students are very excited to get started at the nursing home. The Law Enforcement class has been learning Emergency 10-Signal Codes. They will be utilizing these codes during the year when we conduct mock traffic stops. Students recently took their first field trip to the Galesburg Police Department where they was introduced to the 911 Communications Center, along with a tour of the jail. The automotive class has been getting out into the shop. Mr. Gardner has lead the crew, teaching shop safely along with tire rotation, tire replacement, pressure checks, fluid level checks plus inspection of belts and hoses. Fire Science students have been learning ladder safety, and started to learn the drills they will work on throughout the year. Students are enjoying being outside and getting hands on training. Engineering students have been busy working on their bridge building project. Students are following the same size requirements of Bradley University bridge competitions. This year, students bridges will be printed on the 3D printer instead of being made from balsa wood. Comments are closed.
